One of the country’s more well-known coding bootcamps has a rich history. Founded by Avi Flombaum and Adam Enbar in 2012, Flatiron School sold to WeWork and was later acquired by Carrick Capital Partners in 2020. With locations across the country and its flagship in New York, The Flatiron School features full-time and part-time bootcamps on software engineering, product design, cybersecurity, and data science. The bootcamp experienced some growing pains along the way including settling an investigation by the New York AG into their salary outcomes. They’re currently using a third-party to audit their job outcomes reports from those graduates that select to share their data. Flatiron School offers this software engineering bootcamp in New York City in two campus locations - one in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn. Both Flatiron NYC software engineering bootcamps are offered to students on a full-time or flex basis. The Flatiron NYC full-time software engineering bootcamp is 9 hours per day Monday through Friday for 15 weeks whereas the Flatiron NYC flex software engineering bootcamp is offered in 20, 40, or 60 week program lengths. While both options heavily feature online learning options each provide students with access to either of Flatiron's NYC campus locations. Regardless of your option, both programs are $16,900 in tuition. Flatiron School does report on job placement outcomes for both their Manhattan and their Brooklyn software engineering bootcamps graduates.
