About Institution
Founded in 2013 by Michael Zaro, the V School bills itself as the first coding bootcamp to launch in Utah. The full-stack web development bootcamp, offered fully online, is transparent about the level of work they assign students each week. Expect a kickoff each morning before diving into HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node and many others. You’ll be tested and collaborate with other students, with solo and group coding challenges to complete prior to an individual full stack project. We notice an encouraging trend of coding bootcamps publishing median salary outcomes instead of average salary outcomes, so they don’t skew their earnings up. Coupled with the scholarships offered, an initiative to bring more women and veterans into a highly underrepresented space, we’re watching this program with interest.
